Wildlife removal in Alexandria.
Old Town rowhouses and West End garden apartments are two completely different exclusion problems, and neither one behaves like a detached house on a wooded lot. Both are ours.

What we run into in Alexandria
Alexandria is the densest place we work, and density changes the job.
In and around Old Town you have genuinely old buildings — brick, party walls, low-slope and flat roof sections, chimneys that predate anyone thinking about caps, and original trim that a modern repair detail simply doesn't fit. Out toward the West End it flips to garden apartments, townhouse rows and condominium blocks, where the roofline is newer but it's continuous across a lot of units.
What both share is that your roof is usually attached to somebody else's. An animal that gets above one unit isn't necessarily above the unit it entered, and sealing your section alone can just move the problem four doors down. We inspect the run, not the address.
- Attached rowhouses and townhouse rows, where the roofline carries on past your walls
- Old brick chimneys with no cap, and flashing that has aged open
- Flat and low-slope roof sections with parapet and coping gaps
- Original soffit, fascia and cornice detail that off-the-shelf repairs don't fit
- Alleys, dense mature trees and heavy rodent pressure from a genuinely urban setting
Alexandria call-outs
What we get called for here.
Mice & rat control
The defining Alexandria call. Dense housing, alleys and shared walls mean the pressure never really lets up — sealing the envelope is the only durable answer.
Mice and rats →Raccoon removal
Uncapped chimneys are the classic way in on an older Alexandria house, and a chimney is a den site rather than a passage.
Raccoons and chimneys →Squirrel removal
Mature street trees put branches straight onto rooflines, and on a terrace that roofline runs a long way.
Squirrels in the attic →Wildlife exclusion & repairs
On an old building the repair has to suit the building. Custom metal and hand-fitted work rather than a stock part.
How exclusion works →Where we cover around Alexandria

Alexandria questions we get asked
My house is attached to my neighbour's. Does that change anything?
It changes quite a lot. Depending on how the row was built, the roof space above it may carry on past your walls, so an animal that gets in at one end can be a problem for several houses. We inspect the run rather than just your address, and we'll tell you plainly if the entry point turns out to be on somebody else's section.
We're in a historic district. Can you still do the work?
Yes — tell us when you call. Original cornice, trim and brickwork all change how the exclusion has to be built, and a stock vent guard screwed over 200-year-old detail is not the answer. We fabricate to fit, which is what that kind of building needs anyway.
Something is in the chimney.
Common here, and usually a raccoon denning rather than passing through. Don't light a fire and don't try to smoke it out. We'll get it sorted and then cap the chimney so the next one can't repeat it.
Do you work on condos and apartment buildings?
We do, but the decision usually isn't yours alone — exterior work on a shared building normally goes through the association or the management company. Call us anyway and we'll tell you what we're looking at, which is generally what they'll ask you for.
